Steele wrote under the pseudonym of Isaac Bickerstaff at the inception of his career. In this work he has used this very persona, originally created by Jonathon Swift, to voice his opinions. He preaches his moral ideals through this character. He has used a unique style and approach to communicate his beliefs.
About the Author
Irish writer, journalist and politician, Steele was the co-founder of the periodical “The Spectator”. He wrote dramas while his comedies gained immense popularity. Initially he received favours from royalty but due to his ideas he had to retire to Wales.
