    George Randolph Chester (1869 - 1924) was an American journalist and novelist born in Ohio. He many books but is best known for his novels Five Thousand an Hour: How Johnny Gamble Won the Heiress (1912) and The Early Bird: A Business Man's Love Story (1910). Chester wrote many stories for the Saturday Evening Post and several of them were adapted for films and plays. ;
